A tarsier species resembling Tarsius spectrum is present in the Lambusango and Kakenauwe forests. However, this tarsier has a distinctive call that differs from other populations of T.spectrum and the sonograms from this species and other tarsiers are currently being analysed along with DNA material to determine the species present in Sulawesi. Since call is used as a recognition signal by tarsiers it is possible that the tarsier in the forests of Lambusango will be separated as a new species when the taxonomic revision is completed.
